Our Response to Covid-19

March 20, 2020

Director

On Tuesday 17th March 2020, following the latest government guidelines on social distancing regarding the Global COVID-19 outbreak, we at Whodunnit Events took the difficult decision to suspend events which were due to take place in March, April, May and June 2020. We acknowledged that this would come as a disappointment and an inconvenience for guests who booked tickets, but our first priority was and remains the health and safety of our guests and our team.

While full refunds were offered, we also asked guests to consider that our small, independent business will face extreme economic difficulties over the next few months as will many in the events and hospitality industries. Where possible, we encouraged guests to opt for a ticket exchange instead, which would be both hugely supportive and help us soften the financial hit.

We hope to proceed with events from July 2020 onwards though this will be reviewed nearer the time and all guests who have booked onto events thereafter will be advised accordingly. Full refunds and ticket exchange options will be offered in the event of cancellation or postponement.

As advised by the Government, the NHS and the World Health Organisation, we will take the following precautions to ensure optimum health and safety is guaranteed at our events.

1. We are ensuring that any materials which are presented to guests such as folders and props are properly and thoroughly sanitised before and after use.

2. We are ensuring that all venues which host our events have multiple well-stocked hand-washing facilities and that function rooms are well-ventilated.

3. Where possible, guests will be seated according to their individual groups as opposed to communal seating and guest tables distanced up to two metres apart.

4. We will advise all guests in advance that if they are feeling unwell prior to an event or have been asked to self-isolate by the NHS, they must not attend and instead should email info@Whodunnitevents.co.uk to discuss the available options.

The health and hygiene of our team and guests is paramount at this time and we will continue to monitor the advice from the Government and provide updates as and when required.

On Friday 20th March 2020 we posted the video below to say thanks to our guests who have sent in messages of support and accepted our offers of a ticket exchange.

Thank you to all our guests for your continued support and we hope to sleuth with you very soon.
