Our Response to Covid-19

On Tuesday 17th March 2020, following the latest government guidelines on social distancing regarding the Global COVID-19 outbreak, we at Whodunnit Events took the difficult decision to suspend events which were due to take place in March, April, May and June 2020 and contacted customers to offer full refunds or ticket exchanges.

On 30th March 2020, we launched an interactive online Murder Mystery video series called 'Murder of a Music Mogul!' The eleven videos in the series were written, cast, promoted, recorded, edited and posted in just three weeks during lockdown and can be viewed here.

On 24th April 2020, we began a fun Mini Mystery interactive online series which can be viewed here.

On 30th April 2020, we took the difficult decision to cancel or postpone all of our 2020 Murder Mystery Dinner events and have since been able to offer full refunds or ticket exchanges to all our customers.

On 22nd June 2020, our fantastic virtual eight-player murder mystery game 'A Fete Worse Than Death!' went on-sale. Learn more here.

After a period of consultation and review which concluded on 14th November 2020, we concluded that we will sadly not proceed with planned live events in 2021 due to the continued uncertainties and restrictions caused by the pandemic, and instead seek to further postpone those events to 2022.

This decision, while regrettable, will ensure that our events can continue once it is safer to do so with fewer compromises on our interactive guest experience.

We will be in a better position to safeguard our customers and our team by postponing our event delivery until the Scottish Government advise that the virus no longer presents a life-threatening risk to the public.

I have contacted all guests who have booked onto our 2021 events to make them aware of this decision and to process refunds.

From 8th to 21st December 2020 we intend to post five videos as part of a festive online murder mystery series called Panto-Crime! 2020. More details can be found here.

I look forward to a time when we can get back to doing what is at the heart of our company, bringing people together to enjoy vibrantly alternative Murder Mystery entertainment as part of a shared, live experience.

Thank you to all our customers for your continued support and we hope to sleuth with you very soon.

Chris McCann (Director) and The Team at Whodunnit Events
